Recreational Team DRESS CODE

Dance is a discipline. Having a dress code promotes unity and professionalism in the studio.

For your safety, no jewelry is to be worn in any dance class.

(watches, dangling earrings, bracelets, or ankle bracelets)

If students are not dressed appropriately they may not be allowed to participate in class.

Ballet, Lyrical, Acro classes -   

Please wear a body suit or fitted top with ballet shorts.

Boys can wear shorts and a t shirt/tank that can be tucked in.

Girls please wear Tights  during these classes.  Footless tights for Acro.

A small sheer wrap skirt or ballet shorts may be worn with bodysuit and tights.

NO over sized t-shirts, pants, etc.

 

Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre classes

dress for these classes is more casual but must consist of dance clothing and tights. Yoga or workout styled clothes are also acceptable.

EX.           Tiny tees, dance pants (made of lyrca or stretch cotton), bodysuits, tights, ballet shorts, wrap skirts, stretch shorts, tank tops.

NO denim, oversized shirts, pants, shorts, etc.

 

HAIR – Hair must be away from the face and neck. 

All hair accessories must be secured.

 

SHOES –  All Dancers must wear appropriate shoes to class.

Tiny Dancers, Primary and Non-competitive Beginner/Junior dancers may have one pair of soft soled shoes for ballet and Jazz.  Pink or black.  

Jazz and Musical Theatre– Slip on or lace up, black or beige.

Tap – Black or beige.  Patten or leather lace up, buckle or slip on.

Ballet – Pink ballet slippers.  No ribbons.

Lyrical – pink ballet slippers . Halfsoles and bare feet are also sometimes used for this class.

Hip Hop -  mostly black running shoes.  Can have some colour on them.  Runners cannot be sloppy on the foot.

MOST IMPORTANT****  Don’t forget your smile!!
